Try That Again

"Hey, stop. Let's have a do-over and try that again."

If you're on my team, chances are you've heard this more than once on our one-on-ones. ☝️

That's because I know how easy it is to second-guess yourself; to sow doubt in your ideas before they're fully out in the world. 

Early on in my career, I was better at advocating for others than I was for myself. I was a top performer but wasn't getting to the next rung of the ladder.

It took me a while to learn that sometimes advocating for yourself means securing your own oxygen mask before assisting others.

But I'm grateful for this experience because it gave me what I needed along the way so that now, as the leader of YUPRO Placement, I'm able to give my team space to be their own champion.

Stand up for yourself. Tout your accomplishments. Own your ideas. Believe in yourself first and others will follow.
